Abbotsford Christian School, located in the Fraser Valley, is a well-established interdenominational school of 1120 students in three campuses: Elementary (preschool – grade 4), Middle (5-8), and Secondary (9-12).

MIDDLE SCHOOL VICE PRINCIPAL / TEACHER

Abbotsford Christian School is now accepting applications for a full-time MIDDLE SCHOOL VICE PRINCIPAL/TEACHER commencing September 1, 2026.

The successful applicant will be responsible for a portfolio on the Middle Admin Team (MAT), as well as some teaching responsibilities. The teaching load could be in any subject area or grade level depending on skill set, training, and experience of the applicant and fitting with current staffing and enrolment needs. The position includes significant leadership opportunities as MAT works collaboratively together to implement the mission, vision, and core beliefs of ACS. Candidates must be able to demonstrate an exemplary ability to build strong relationships with students in a discipling capacity. Specific qualifications include:

· MA Degree in Education (or equivalent) with a particular specialty

· BA Degree in Education (or equivalent) with a specialty

· BC Teaching Certificate

· Leadership Experience

· Extracurricular experience

· Clear understanding of Christian education

The ideal applicant must:

· Demonstrate evidence of a deep and disciplined understanding of the Christian worldview and the ability to integrate it into work

· Have the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents

· Have experience with restorative practices

· Have a reputation for being an excellent teacher and modeling servant leadership

· Have experience with project-based learning or deeper learning pedagogies

· Demonstrate a willingness to work in a team environment in a progressive and creative school

· Be able to work professionally and confidently with the ability to adapt to situations as needs arise

· Demonstrate a willingness to learn and be teachable

· Have an understanding of and enjoyment working with middle school students

The salary range for this position is $90,000 – $120,000 dependent on an applicant’s qualifications and experiences.
