Covenant Christian School is an alternative Christian program within the Black Gold School Division, whose core purpose is: “Flourishing Learners, Delighting in God, Inspired to Serve.” Covenant offers a Christ-centred education to approximately 400 students in kindergarten to grade nine. As such, we teach the Alberta curriculum from a Christian perspective, using a framework called Teaching for Transformation (TfT). Teaching Assignment
- Grade 8: Math, Health, and Bible.
- Grade 5: Math and Science.
- CTF (Career and Technology Foundations).
- Assistant Director to the Junior High Drama Production.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to teach all subjects from a fully integrated Christian perspective
- Strong understanding of, or willingness to learn, the Teaching for Transformation framework
- Highly collaborative within a cohesive teaching team
- Commitment to instructional practices that support a structured, engaging, positive learning environment
- Willingness to serve as a Grade 8 homeroom teacher and support the annual drama production as Assistant Director
- Junior High/Division II experience is an asset
