Governance

The Prairie Centre for Christian Education is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of the following 9 positions: 

  1. One Director shall be part of a school community from the North District (North of Millet)
  2. One director shall be part of a school community from the North Central District (South of Millet and North of Innisfail)
  3. One director shall be part of a school community from the South Central District (South of Innisfail and North of Okotoks)
  4. One director shall be part of a school community from the South District (South of Okotoks) 
  5. One director shall be part of a school community from Saskatchewan or Manitoba
  6. Two Directors shall be Educators from member school communities 
  7. One Director shall be an administrator from a member school community
  8. One Director shall be a representative from the King’s University College 


The Board selects its officers from among its members: a Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer. 

The Board is mandated to: 

  • Advance the vision and mission of the Society 
  • Oversee the work of the Executive Director 
  • Approve the presentation of the annual budget and financial statements to the membership 
  • Formulate policies and recommendations for the Society
