    Abbotsford Christian School is currently accepting applications for an Executive Director / Head of School for a 1.0 FTE position beginning September 1, 2025.

    The executive director is the chief administrator of Abbotsford Christian School (ACS) and is directly accountable to the ACS Board of Directors. As a visionary leader, the executive director advises the ACS Board on policy, decision-making, and long-range planning. Then, as a skilled administrator, they implement those policies, decisions, and plans, using the staff, community of volunteers, and financial resources available. The executive director models ACS’ core values and beliefs with adherence to the ACS Community Standards, inspires innovative education, fosters an environment of team synergy, and operates as a servant leader. The executive director motivates, encourages, challenges, holds accountable, and empowers the ACS Leadership Team to be effective leaders in their own areas. The executive director demonstrates sensitivity, compassion, patience, honesty, and wisdom in all interactions with staff, students, parents, ACS Society members, and other individuals. As a skilled communicator, the executive director shares the vision and educational philosophy of ACS with the staff, the ACS Society, the wider Christian community, the local Fraser Valley community, and the provincial government.

    The salary range for this position is $160,000 - $185,000, plus an extensive benefits package, and is dependent on an applicant’s qualifications and experiences.

    Rocky Christian School requires a Full-Time Grade One teacher. Preferred candidates will have training and/or experience in Christian education. Duties are expected to commence August 27, 2024.

    Taber Christian School is an Early Learning to Grade 8 alternative school program within The Horizon School Division. Our 37 staff members provide service to approximately 353 students in the town of Taber, Alberta.

    Horizon School Division is a 21st century inclusive learning community that engages and empowers all learners for success.

    Assignment Includes all Grade 7 Homeroom subjects with preference given to an individual with a strong math background. Skills in instrumental music would also be considered an asset, but not necessary.

    The Edmonton Society for Christian Education (ESCE) invites applications for the position of Child and Family Therapist effective August 26, 2024.

    Located in Edmonton, Alberta, the ESCE serves almost 1600 K-12 students across three modern Edmonton Christian School campuses. Our schools employ approximately 65 teachers, 6 principals and assistant principals, as well as multiple support staff. Originating as independent schools in 1949, ESCE has been in a partnership agreement with EdmontonPublic Schools since 1999 and continues to provide a high quality, Christian AlternativeProgram in the capital region.

    The Edmonton Society for Christian Education values children as image-bearers of Christ and desires to support the healthy spiritual, physical, mental and emotional development of each child. To that end, the Society employs a Christian School Support Team composed of (2) Pastoral Care Leaders and a Mental Health Therapist to work in all three schools.

    The Child and Family Therapist is responsible for providing collaborative services to support students that are experiencing social/emotional difficulties that are impacting the student’s ability to learn, as well as their overall wellness. These services are provided through intervention counselling, individual counselling, targeted counselling, and universal programing. The Counsellor liaises between the school, the family, and the community, to provide the most effective services for the students.

    This 0.8-1.0 FTE position involves working with a diverse group of learners, being part of a collaborative staff, and being open to new ideas and ways of learning.
